Are you a total beginner or unsure if surfing is safe, but still want to give it a chance? Then Nemo’s Surf School is the right place for you, as Abdull and his team are the most experienced surfing instructors in the Senggigi area.
No matter if you want to get your first taste of surfing, or to develop your basic skills… There’s no need for any surfing experience. Our friendly instructors will explain the basics of surfing, in theory and practice, directly on the beach until you feel comfortable enough to try to catch your first wave in the sea. We won’t forget to teach you about surfing safety and will accompany you on each step of your journey.
Individual intro lesson

The lessons are tailored for your continual development:
Lesson 1 – stand upright on the board;
Lesson 2 – catch waves by yourself;
Lesson 3 – increase your manoeuvrability by swapping to a smaller sized board.

- Teaching (1 teacher for a maximum 2 people (1 to 1 in case of kid’s lesson))

Simply contact us 1 day in advance to book your surfing lesson or guided surf expedition. We can accommodate individuals, small groups, as well as larger groups of up to 20 people.
Should you make a spontaneous last-minute decision to go surfing, please contact us or directly visit our surf shop. We will be very happy to take you out surfing if we are free and the water conditions allow it.
Surfing times cannot be fixed to a specific time of day due to changing tides, and because we want to begin teaching you when the sea gives us the best waves for you and your level of experience. This is why we will only inform you about your lesson’s start time 1 day in advance after checking the conditions.
Lessons for beginners are usually given at a spot close to Senggigi – AlangAlang, or we may travel a bit further from Senggigi to Pandanan.

As I love water I always wanted to try surfing, however seeing the waves and after first fall downs from board I realized that it is not so easy as it looks like Abdul and his guys didn’t let me give it up, gave me great guidance and support to be able to enjoy every moment of this sport and to continue in learning almost every day of my stay in Senggigi. For a beginner and first timer learning to surf, I managed to stand up on the board and surf quite a number of times. All this is not possible without the great and proper guidance.
