Surfing is not limited by age. Surfing lessons are also suitable for children who love water and would like to try a new water activity. Our surf instructors have great experience teaching children, starting with their own. We are also ready to teach your 5 to 12-year-olds. The lessons are managed by 1 instructor and 1 helper for each student to assure their safety. You can be sure that your kids will always be safe with our experienced team, and that we will start them on gentle surf spots.

The lessons are tailored for your kid’s continual development:
Lesson 1 – stand upright on their board;
Lesson 2 – catch waves by themselves;
Lesson 3 – increase their manoeuvrability by swapping to a smaller sized board.

Simply contact us 1 day in advance to book your surfing lesson or guided surf expedition. We can accommodate individuals, small groups, as well as larger groups of up to 20 people.
Should you make a spontaneous last-minute decision to go surfing, please contact us or directly visit our surf shop. We will be very happy to take you out surfing if we are free and the water conditions allow it.
Surfing times cannot be fixed to a specific time of day due to changing tides, and because we want to begin teaching you when the sea gives us the best waves for you and your level of experience. This is why we will only inform you about your lesson’s start time 1 day in advance after checking the conditions.
Our lessons for kids are usually given at a spot close to Senggigi – AlangAlang, what is traditional Nemo’s point, or we may travel a bit further from Senggigi to Pandan.

A wonderful time with my son
My son wanted to learn surfing on our first trip to Indonesia, I therefore set out to find a surf school to learn to take our first waves. Luck allowed us to discover the Nemo Surf school on the edge of the road. Its authentic side, away from tourist touts seduced me right away. Abdul, Huda and teachers have been wonderful to see this incredible sensation of floating on the hour water. Enough for us to stand on our surfboards and feel like joining a new tribe.
The other 3 sessions confirmed to us that we had the chance to have teachers always listening and ready to adapt to conditions and availability.

A dream came true
I have always dreamed to ride a wave. It took me almost 40 years to make it happen. And what even makes me prouder, I have done it together with my son on the same day. Due to the excellent lessons and friendly atmosphere from Nemo team it is something I will never forget. I recommend this surf school for „best-agers“ like me and children as well. The spot is great to learn and the value for money can’t be better.
