Welcome to Nemo’s Surf School, the greatest place to experience the fun of surfing on Lombok, one of the longest-running schools here. We were among the first to offer surfing lessons in the Senggigi area of Lombok Island, because surfing is our whole life. All of our instructors have surfed since childhood. And back then we didn’t have the quality lightweight boards that are available today, but rather only wooden planks… So you can surely bet we have the best surf skills and you will always feel safe when surfing with us, whatever level (of experience) you have.

The school was founded in 1998 by Abdull and his friends. Abdull is an experienced surf instructor who has not only been passionate about surfing for more than 35 years, but also loves making new friends that are keen to discover their own passion for surfing. Abdull and all his English speaking experienced surf instructors will make sure you enjoy surfing on Lombok. They will literally take care of everything, not least in kitting you out with professional surfing equipment, tailoring your lessons in great locations, to peace of mind and elevating your already great holiday mood… Come and see what’s on offer for yourself!

Why should you choose Senggigi and Nemo’s Surf school while surfing in Lombok? Aside from the fact that the Senggigi region offers so many amazing surf locations, the region is less crowded than the south of Lombok, and our completely personalised attitude ensures that you will enjoy every minute of your time with us.

Senggigi can offer you a lot more than surf alone. You will find marvellous beaches, nice hotels, as well as really good restaurants here.

It’s a great place to base yourself to discover all of Lombok Island. Not only is it is close to the Gili Islands, where you can go diving or snorkelling, but it’s perfectly located to set off on a trek to Mt. Rinjani (3,726 m.a.s.l.), the second highest mountain in Indonesia, or on an enjoyable trip to the nearby Sendang Gile and Tiu Kelep waterfalls. Lombok is a virgin site that remains unaffected by mass tourism. And for those who are particularly interested in Lombok culture, you can additionally make a trip to the nearby Sasak villages, the pottery village of Banyumulek, and the Pura Lingsar Hindu temple. If you have already explored the whole island, or if you simply want to see something that is impossible to see elsewhere, you can rent a boat and head straight for Komodo Island, a wonderful place with amazing diving spots and the famous Komodo dragons.

Give in to your temptation and enjoy places that are free from the regular crowds of tourists right here on Lombok. We can recommend you experienced and approved providers to assist you in all your chosen activities.
